Переходный отсек входит в космическую головную часть, обеспечивает механическую связь корабля с головным обтекателем и интеграцию его командного интерфейса в бортовую систему управления ракеты «Союз».
Работы завершились проверочным включением аппаратуры командно-телеметрической системы и подготовкой корабля к авторскому осмотру.
